Many thanks and congrats on the adaptation. Any chance of a physical release?

Physical release is underway, unsure of when available though.

Fun fact: I was playing with auto-fire switch on and character jump was so short, I thought it's supposed to be like this until I couldn't reach one of the platform. Then I watched gameplay and understood that something is wrong with my game... Don't turn auto-fire on :D

Hi, you can rename the file withing the Workbench, Dopus or via a Command line like

Rename FLOPPY to HD

then edit this file with the ED command (there are many ways to do it)

ED HD and exhange the word FLoppy to HD

It loads way faster. Dont know why the Scorpion engine does this....

A bit weird but it works. (i did this with all the Scorpion games and it works on almost all o them... depends of the scoprion engine version that was used;

A hint is when there is a Drawer called  "savedata" ... then the HD thing works.

Hope i could help, but it work either way... just slower ;)

Torti

Nice game. I enjoy playing it however I am looking for some tips. How to kill The Satan and how to collect the cross that lays behind the dragon? I suppose that to kill Satan I need to collect 12 crosses, however I do not see that many (even counting the reversed ones).

Good, good. All crosses for item to defeat Satan (there are defo 12). Try crouching.

Wow, looks fantastic!

For best results on Harddisk:

1) Change the Filename FLOPPY to HD and edit the File. Change the word FLOPPY within the File to HD for faster loading in the game.

2) Use a generic 3.1 WHDLOAD slave to prevent a Bug that otherwise happends, if you are returning back to the Workbench.

3) Enjoy and have fun with this great game :)

Greetings; Torti the Smurf

Could you point me to a tool to rename FLOPPY? I can see it in DOPUS and in Voodoo-X but can't seem to change it after moving the abbeys_full.adf file to my Ram Disk.

Great game, thanks. I was just wondering how there can be two different versions of the same game in the same month. I also added both to my new November Amiga gaming video. I hope I presented both well and equally. 👍

Much like buses, you wait ages for one and then two come along at once.

Wait, what? And the graphics are very similar, character is the same. How could it be and why?

They're based off original PC l'Abbaye des Morts.

Cheers, is this hard drive installable? Or can the files simply be copied over from the floppy?

Copying files from floppy to HDD should work.

awesome!

Purchased - thanks so much for making this! Ever since playing the C64 version I've been wanting to see it on the Amiga.

why is it called abbey(s) and not abbey?

Because there's more than one and to avoid confusion when people translate from French title of original.

Awesome game!

Looks great, brings back memories. Unfortunately I lost my Amiga 500 long time ago. Any suggestions for an good emulator on Mac Osx Apple Silicon?

FS-UAE runs on apple sillycon.

Very nice C64 conversion! Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 02:38:22. Subscription to our YouTube or Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

Hi ! Woohoo, thanks so much for this high quality port ! :-)

Just one question : I noticed that with most Scorpion games : on my A1230@50, I noticed there is quite some latency during screens switches -- especially when starting, reading scrolls, when the music changes etc.

Is it due to the way Scorpion works, by design, or is there some room for improvements ?

Thanks so much for your hard work :-)

Some compromises to not run out of memory cause the small delays in scrolls loading and the prayer music loading (other music should be instant).
If you have a hard drive and copy the files across, it'll be quicker loading.
